New marketers get crazy excited when they first start generating leads, and they should. The most common question I get then is: Adam, what do I do now? In this post I will share with you the few things I do with my leads; they are:
- Call them
- Let them get worked on by my auto-responder messages
- Connect with them on other platforms
Your job is to pick the method you prefer. They all work.
1. Call Them
You won’t get a number every time you generate a lead, especially if you’re ask for email address, phone number and name. However, you will get better quality leads. When you get a number, that’s their way of saying, “Call me!”. Remember, we are in an attraction marketing industry. Click here to grab your copy of Magnetic Sponsoring. That’s where my leadership roots began. I had to learn leadership and when you’re calling that lead, you are a leader.
A leader has posture; he/she doesn’t beg or hard sell people. They provide value and seek to be of help to their lead. Some things a leader would do when calling a lead are:
- Get to know them
- Find out if they are building an MLM
- Ask them if they are generating leads
- Ask them how you can help them build their business
Too many new networkers get it wrong and think, “Oh I got a lead, it’s time to sell them on my MLM.” You’ll be wise to build a relationship, help them, and share with them how you’re generating leads for your business. Network marketers want leads.
2. Let Auto-responders work on your leads
If you’re a member of MLSP, then you have access to 20 + auto-responder messages that you can send to your leads. Those messages will educate your leads, help you make affiliate commissions, and teach them about your primary MLM business. These messages can be edited to your own taste. I recommend you edit them into your own words, but keeping the essential teachings and purpose. It’s all a process. Once they esteem you as a leader, they’ll come out of their caves and express their gratitude for you.
3. Connect with them on other platforms
This is a great way to connect with your leads. It doesn’t always work, but it works more often than not. Take the email your lead subscribed with and put it into facebook. Facebook is telling you that a person is using their account with that email. Don’t add them, rather send them a message. Something of this nature will work for you:
“Hey Joe, this is Adam from http://www.example.com. How’s your ACN business going?”
This approach is best used when you know the source of the lead. In this example, let’s say I wrote a review on ACN. MLSP allows for tracking and every lead tells me where they came from. Keep it simple and connect with them on facebook.
