There are 2 ways to make money in this life: working from home and working for a boss. In this post I will discuss the benefits and downfalls of each. Neither one is right or wrong, it’s up to you to live your life the way you want. Then I will teach you how to transition from working for a boss to working from home.
1. Working For A Boss
Benefits: secure income (as long as you don’t get laid off or fired), set schedule, and insurance benefits.
Downfalls include: limited income, told when to work
2. Working From Home
Benefits: flexibility, no ceiling on your income, tax breaks
Downfalls include: no steady income, work longer hours, and no insurance benefits.
There are lots of ways to make money from home. One of my mentors said, “A little ingenuity and you’re on your way.” To make money you need an idea, skill-sets, belief, and a good solid work ethic. Some people think that they aren’t creative enough to build successful businesses. Among many opportunities, MLM’s and direct selling are great options. Those companies have already created a product that has demand. All you need to do is insert the work ethic and belief. To learn how I make money from home, click here.
3. Transitioning From Work To Home
Network marketing has a really high drop-out rate. Among many reasons, not being able to pay for the product/service auto-ships causes reps to quit more than any other reason. Many of these reps would quit their job and focus on their network marketing business full time. Big mistake. My advice to you is to:
- Keep your job
- Do personal development daily
- Set aside 1-2 hours every day to build your business
Once you can live on your business income for 6 months without touching your job income, you can quit your job. But, only if you want to. Fear and a lack of total confidence would be some of the biggest factors in this transition. Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith. But, at this point, the risk is minimized. You’re already making good money from your business.
