Ya ya, I once said that to myself, until I began to understand the big picture.  There are a variety of other email marketing services out there; Aweber just happens to be my personal favorite. 1. Relationships & Brand Recognition

Imagine if you were to get an email every day from Adam Morgan when you wake up and fire up your computer. Or any other ‘guru’ for that matter. Do you think you’d start to get curious about him or her? Do you think you’d start to get to know them well? Email marketing achieves all of that. Your leads or subscribers get to know you better. They recognize your name and brand elsewhere on the internet. Through your email messages, you invite them into your lives and you start building relationships with your leads.

2. Traffic

Your leads or subscribers (used synonymously) got on your list due to an event in the past. For example, they probably opted into your site to receive a free report. They’ve given you permission to market to them. I use my emails to drive traffic to my new posts. Whenever a new post goes live, I’ll send out a broadcast to my list asking them to check out my new post. It works as a means to create brand loyalty and drive traffic to my website.

3. Sales

Adding to this mixture, email marketing helps you get sales. With the traffic you’re driving to your website or affiliate pages, you’re going to start earning sales. This will only happen once you’ve got the brand recognition and brand loyalty in place. It will happen, but you need to give it time. It will pay to start studying ezine marketing and solo ads. The providers of those, earn a full-time income sending out emails to their lists of hundreds of subscribers. Opt into their blogs and read the solo ad emails they send to you. That’ll help you learn real fast.
