When blogging there are things you can do to show your readers you care. This post is going to cover a few of those:
- reply to your comments
- random love
- connect outside of your blog
Let’s begin
1. Reply to your comments
Blogging is not a 1 way street, but rather a 2 way street. Well, that’s how it is if you want to truly succeed and build a loyal readership. I’ve left dozens of comments this week on other people’s blogs and I found something interesting. Lots of bloggers love to post but don’t reply to the comments left on their blogs. When you reply to a comment, you begin a relationship and it’s your decision how far you want to take it.
2. Random love
This is one of my favorite ways ways to show someone you care. When I find that my readers tweet, I will follow them, RT something and certainly tweet them. On facebook, if I find out they have a facebook page, I’ll like their page back. Everyone needs a little bit of love every now and then. Same with youtube, I’ll subscribe to their channel, make a comment, and even like a video of theirs.
3. Connect outside of your blog
I find that the more I connect with others outside of my blog, I learn about my readers, get ideas for content to create, and build relationships. It also helps me gain new readers and traffic to my blog. Here are some of the places I connect with others:
There are plenty of others, but I just stick with the basic and most popular ones. Add your ID’s below and I’ll follow back.

I try to engage with my readers. I sometimes contact them via email or search for their profile on Facebook. I have had some success doing that.
Thanks for stopping by Darren. That’s awesome. Maybe you could write a post about that. I’d read it and comment on it
